Furthermore, the scientists pointed out that the sun lowers blood pressure by increasing levels of nitric oxide, a chemical that is associated with blood flow. The researchers revealed when they are concerned about people who avoid the sun, including those who use sunscreen increased risk of death from heart disease.

"We are concerned that people may wish to reduce the risk of death from skin cancer, but may inadvertently increase the risk of heart disease and stroke mortality is higher," wrote the researchers, quoted Newsmaxhealth.

Meanwhile, the researchers write in the Journal of Investigative Dermatology, when exposure of sunlight reduces the risk of all cause and cardiovascular mortality. In the study, exposure to sunlight lowers blood pressure approximately five percent and the effect lasts half an hour.
